"I have literally read all of Christine’s books, some twice every series. When the Ghostwalker series started they were so cleverly written . It included all the characters and you really felt like you knew them. Her most recent work is poor boring and extremely repetitive. Not worth 13.99. I will not be buying anymore of her books if she does not take some of her readers advice because I’m clearly not the only one who feels this way. This book was not even close to being worth this ridiculous price for a quality and popular writer. Maybe someone else is writing for her also because if you read her old work and her work now it’s not the same."

Toxic Game Audible Audio Edition Christine Feehan Jim Frangione Recorded Books Books Reviews
- I'm not going to buy anymore books from Feehan. They are now all the same. The ghostwalker books are dominant males with soft unconfident woman who are soldiers.
The sisters of the heart are pathetic. Torpedo ink is full of sex victims where the men aren't just dominant but aggressive abusers to their ladies.
I'm tired of 10 pages of sexual activity. I gave up on the Dark series and now i'm giving up on Christine Feehan. - Honestly this was so drawn out I was skipping so much of this book. I got so tired of them in that rangers cabin. So much time was spent on them in that cabin for so long the ending was rushed. They tied up everything in what felt like the last 3 chapters. Will I re-read? Absolutely not. Do I recommend? Absolutely Not.

- As Draden climbs up to the exfil helicopter he is darted with a deadly hemorrhagic virus dropping off the ladder back into the Indonesian jungle, his instant decision is that he will not infect his Ghostwalkers brothers, he will document the symptoms, protect them from what he is facing, his demise. His new mission prior to what he knows will not be an easy way to go is to kill as many of the enemy that put him under this death sentence then go out on his own terms.
Shylah watched in awe as the Ghost moved through the terrorist camp in a lethal ballet of death taking out those who had callously killed an entire village. Her mission to find the scientist who had created the virus the last thing on her mind as she watched Draden hit by a bullet and in danger of drowning.
‘No good act goes unpunished’ was the first thought that went through my mind as Shylah put her mouth to Draden’s in mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. The next was Tim McGraw’s song title ‘Live like you were dying’ I could not put down the book that was so open and honest about these two intense GhostWwalkers. The norm when the hero and heroine whose upbringings are filled with betrayal and loss would have chapters of a tango back and forth, the couples working their way through defense mechanisms. Draden and Shylah are not only pragmatic as to their chances of survival they Choose to make the most of their time, determined to not only stop the scientists with no conscience but to Love a lifetime in as much time they have left. There is always a time when I read a romance novel that I want to yell “Tell him/her what you feel†I was enthralled as Shylah and Draden faced their future with honesty rarely seen.
I cannot begin to say how highly recommend this intense story, it is a love story like no other !! - Within moments of beginning Toxic Game, I was transported. It doesn't matter if Feehan is writing a book set in the New Orlean's bayou, tropical rain forests, The Middle East - the World Map is this author's playground. I have yet to read a location-driven book by Feehan that doesn't blow my mind. It's all in the details. Feehan expertly writes about local flora and fauna, plant hybrids, encyclopedic knowledge on all things predatory animals, arachnid minutia, cookery, combat, inflight surgeries, war, and she has a real handle on how uber genius psychopaths operate.🧠Seriously, my mind is blown with the amount of research that goes into the Ghostwalker novels - and it's not only the research but how she so skillfully writes nail-biting dramatic thrillers with all that Britannica thrown in!
*Note - I finished Toxic Game in record time. Yay me... Now it's over. Great.
In this 15th installment to the series, Toxic Game will throw you directly into the sweltering humidity of Sumatra. You feel the oppressive heat, the slow trickle of sweat on your temples, you see the thick vegetation, the swoop of exotic birds, and the swish, swish of helicopter blades. Mesmerizing - the usual in Feehan's world. This is the story of Draden (you know you've been dying for his story) and Shylah, better known as Peony and bff to Zara and Bellisia. There is usually a rhythm to be expected in a Ghostwalker novel - don't be expecting that with Toxic Game. Without spoiling anything... I can't write anything... damn it! Well, I can say that the storyline is unexpected, the chemistry is high (shout out to Dr. Evil), but the circumstances prevent, shall we say, the expected outcome.😉
